Tricia Vita spent the first 17 years of her life traveling with carnivals, where her first job was picking up darts and replacing busted balloons in her mother's dart game. She is a writer, oral historian, and teaching artist in New York. Excerpts from her memoir in progress about her childhood have been published in Boston Review, Gramercy Review, Provincetown Arts, and Yankee.
